Construction Project Manager

The role of the project manager is to be responsible for the oversite of all Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch construction projects varying in scope, size, and location. This includes new construction, renovation and repairs. This role is also responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of subcontractors.    Effectively manage multiple construction projects that are in different stages of completion and locations including code compliance and project scope definition. Able to effectively communicate and collaborate with department heads associated with the project or build.  Coordinate with consultants, departments and subcontractors as required. Perform bid comparison and evaluations for inclusion of all scope and related costs. Ensure project costs are aligned with approved budgets, track expenses and approved contractor invoices. Initiate appropriate project documents and track progress of each project as related to objectives, approved budgets and approved timelines. Maintain all required project data and records, log and track all design changes and mod. Assures that all services in this directorate are coordinated to facilitate special events within the prescribed timeframes. Maintains appropriate interaction with residents.

1.    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is preferred, preferably in architecture, management or engineering.

2.    A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a construction project manager.

3.    Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets.

4.    Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures.

5.    Working knowledge of code compliance, OSHA, NFPA and International Fire Code.

6.    Experience with managing budgets.

7.    Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing

8.    Strong knowledge of construction materials, process and equipment.

9.    Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.

10. Must be at least 21 years of age.

11. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

12. Must be available for travel as needed.
