We’re searching for a Principal Executive Recruiter to drive our Executive & Leadership hiring to ensure we attract, engage, and retain top-tier leaders. By delivering deep market intelligence, scalable sourcing strategies, and mentorship to the TA team, you will also influence Aurora’s growth and talent density.

In this role, you will

 Executive Hiring (Director and Above)

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment life cycle for all Director and above roles across all business groups.
  • Partner closely with executive stakeholders to understand business objectives and talent needs, translating them into clear hiring requirements.
  • Implement robust assessment and selection processes, ensuring alignment with organizational values and leadership competencies.
  • Provide strategic insights and market intelligence to executive leaders that help inform org design and role scoping decisions.
  • Partner closely with TA Leadership to connect dots on hiring strategies and business needs.

Research and Market Intelligence

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify rare and niche talent pools where only a limited number of professionals exist globally; and partner with TA team to create and operationalize thoughtful strategies to engage and build relationships with this talent.
  • Create and maintain intelligence reports to inform executives and senior stakeholders of market trends, competitor insights, and potential talent risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and document scalable innovative sourcing strategies for these specialized skill sets, including strategic mapping, talent intelligence reports, and industry analyses.

Succession Planning

  • Collaborate closely with the People Business Partner team to design and execute a robust succession planning framework for critical and senior leadership roles.
  • Identify high-potential internal and external talent for priority leadership pipelines, ensuring diversity, inclusion, and readiness timelines.
  • Craft and execute strategies for proactive and long term relationship-building with high stakes external talent to support Aurora scale.
  • Serve as a key partner for organizational workforce planning, advising on future leadership requirements and potential gaps.

TA Team Coaching and Development

  • As the senior-most recruiter on the team, you will mentor, coach, and guide recruiters, sourcers, and researchers, providing thought leadership in stakeholder management, closing excellence, and niche sourcing.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement within the Talent Acquisition function.
  • Provide regular feedback for team members, instilling a high-performance mindset and strong consultative approach.

Required Qualifications

  • Executive Recruiting Expertise: Ensures you can effectively manage high-stakes searches for Director-level and above roles, aligning hiring with executive needs and organizational goals.
  • Deep Sourcing & Research: Enables you to uncover niche talent pools and build long-term pipelines for critical talent needs, keeping the organization ahead in competitive markets.
  • Succession Planning Acumen: Equips you to partner with People Business Partners and define a proactive approach for future leadership needs, mitigating talent risks.
  • Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Allows you to build trust and influence executives with data-driven insights, creating alignment on hiring strategies and priorities.
  • Data & Market Intelligence: Helps you provide real-time competitive analysis, ensuring well-informed decisions that shape org design and role scope.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Elevates the TA team’s capabilities, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Communication & Influence: Ensures you can clearly articulate hiring recommendations and market trends, driving consensus across senior leadership.

The base salary range for this position is $204,000-$327,000 per year.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
