Marketing and Communications Summer Associate (Intern)

Apex Clean Energy is currently seeking a summer associate to support corporate and project-level marketing and communications initiatives. We are looking for candidates with an interest in print, digital, and web marketing; graphic design and organizational skills; the ability to multitask effectively; and an eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• The summer associate will work on one or two longer-term projects over the summer tied to departmental priorities and assist on ad hoc projects as needed. Potential projects include:
  • Assisting in transitioning multiple websites to a new hosting platform, including cloning templates, content editing, and ensuring smooth migration
  • Implementing and managing Google Analytics tracking across all newly hosted websites for performance monitoring
  • Supporting digital and print graphic design collateral, including creating and updating corporate and project-level visual assets
  • Developing new templates in Adobe Express and updating existing documents and designs to maintain brand consistency

• Completed or in pursuit of BA with a focus on marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Familiarity with website content management system and analytics a plus

• The summer associate program will run from June 2 through August 8 but we can be flexible with the start and end dates
• Hours: Full Time 
• Type:  Non-Exempt
• Paid Internship: Undergraduate, $17/Hour; Graduate, $27/Hour
• Office Location: Our Charlottesville, VA headquarters
