Modern Workplace (Citrix) Engineer

The role

As the go-to person for the Modern Work support team and our customers, you’ll be the first point of contact for any escalations. You’ll specialize in Citrix, Azure (AVD), and M365, but we’re keen for you to explore and learn new modern workplace technologies too! Your main responsibilities will include providing technical support and handling P1 support incidents. Plus, you’ll get to work on deployment and migration projects, and even contribute to product development and pre-sales processes.

What will I be doing?

  • Act as an escalation point for 1st line Modern Work engineers, offering technical support and guidance within your area of expertise, specifically AVD and Citrix
  • Supporting in the project delivery process. 
  • Understanding, delivering, and supporting our core IT products and services. 
  • Take ownership of escalated and long-standing incidents and monitoring events, ensuring the customer is kept up to date in line with SLAs. 
  • Identify system issues and create innovative solutions to enhance processing efficiency and stability. 
  • Helping in upskilling junior members across the product technologies and ensuring they are meeting SLAs.  
  • Contributing to internal documentation and training sessions. 
  • Contributing to Daily Stand-up and team meetings. 

What will I bring to the role?

  • Knowledge in troubleshooting, deploying and managing Citrix environments, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Technology Stack (Compute, Azure Files, FSLogix) 
  • Strong understanding of Azure platform technologies, including IaaS and PaaS services and common workloads. 
  • Good exposure to Citrix Technologies or Azure orchestration tools for Enterprise/MSP 
  • Ability to review notifications of Security & Quality Releases across technological stack to determine implementation. 
  • Skilled in supporting and administering M365 technologies, e.g. Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, Intune etc. 
  • Experience conducting customer environment review (Cost & Performance optimisation). 
  • Experience and active participation in migrations into Microsoft 365 and/or Microsoft Azure 
  • Azure Networking e.g.  E.g. Azure firewalls, VPNs etc.(Including Hub and Spoke network topologies) 
  • General Windows Server and domain services knowledge including Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), PowerShell, and print/file server experience.
