Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make calls to patients, hospitals, and insurers to research claims and obtain insurance information
• Contact insurance carriers regarding the status of past due accounts and manage denials and appeals
• Document account activities in the claims processing system and follow up on unpaid claims daily

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of claims, billing, and collection experience
• Customer service experience is required
• Prior collections or medical billing experience preferred, with a basic understanding of ICD10, HCPCS, and medical terminology
• Basic understanding of insurance and claims processing is preferred
