About the program:
WRI Europe works with the European Commission, the European Investment Bank and stakeholders to support Europe in its global leadership on climate, development and environment, and to inform the continent’s contribution to the global recovery to COVID-19.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in an international NGO that is committed to contributing to the advancement of the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement. You will have the opportunity to learn how the EU and (I)NGOs can partner and collaborate in order to achieve development outcomes, including on climate and environmental issues.
Internship Highlight:
In this role, you will be part WRI Europe’s team working on engagement and development with the European Union institutions. You will support outreach and engagement activities with EU organizations and partners including network building, meetings management and preparation of presentations, briefs and other materials as needed. You will also focus on conducting research and analysis of EU funding opportunities for WRI from EU research and innovation funds like Horizon Europe, EU development cooperation grants and EU tenders, as well as support internal coordination around such opportunities, and provide briefings on policy developments relevant to WRI’s scope of work.
Your internship supervisor will be Janneke de Vries, Head of The Hague Regional Office and Director of European Partnerships.
