Job Description

The Human Resources Coordinator supports HR Field Operations by delivering key human resources services aligned with organizational and workforce goals. This role is responsible for implementing and administering HR programs, processes, and policies that enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness. In partnership with the HR Regional Managers, the HR Coordinator will assist in areas such as workforce planning, employee relations, onboarding, and engagement initiatives. The HR Coordinator also supports recruitment efforts, ensuring alignment with business needs and promoting a positive and efficient candidate experience. This role contributes to driving continuous improvement and consistency across HR practices to support WireCo’s people and performance strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proactively partner with HR Regional Managers to support daily people activities organizational changes, open roles, and other life cycle events.
  • Respond promptly to employee and leader requests from field locations, ensuring timely and consistent HR support that promotes retention and engagement.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics and new hire set up with field leaders to ensure readiness on Day 1, including communication, equipment, and facility preparation.
  • The Coordinator will periodically travel to U.S. sites to provide in-person HR support, build relationships with the field team, and ensure alignment with the HR Managers.
  • Provide support in the full life cycle recruitment (job requisition and job description review, background screening, and onboarding process).
  • Regularly review the Applicant Tracking System and submit resumes for further consideration based on qualifications, job requirements, and screening questions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates, hiring managers, and HR peers during the TA process to recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring of qualified applicants; collaborates with managers to understand required skills/competencies.
  • Submit job changes, separations, hires and organization changes while maintaining documentation for audit purposes.
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to the Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS System, and Affirmative Action as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact on HR-related matters, including administration of HR policies, payroll, benefits, processes, and resources.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with universities and organizations to build a diverse talent pipeline.
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events as needed.
  • Research HR TA best practices and recommend improvements to standardize/simplify recruiting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and internal policies. Assist employees with questions related to healthcare, 401(k), life insurance, and leave of absence (escalate when necessary).
  • Assist with other HR-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or minimum 3 years relevant HR experience
  • Two years of managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking and HRIS systems, and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and professionally with a high level of responsibility with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Ability to work in an office setting; extended times of sitting and computer work
  • Ability to motivate, speak, train and interact at different levels of the organization
  • Ability to build and establish strong working relationships with employees and leaders at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting and onboarding employees in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or Generalist
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems and business information (payroll/timekeeping) systems; ADP preferred systems experience

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • An applicant must complete a satisfactory background check post-offer of employment.  A criminal conviction will not be an automatic bar to employment.
  • Must be willing and able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical (if required)
