The engineering team at Warner Music Group makes all of it a reality. 


We are looking for a Software Engineer, Engineering Productivity with a strong background in software development and a keen interest in enhancing engineering productivity. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tools, systems and processes that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall productivity of our development process. You will collaborate with your fellow engineers and other stakeholders to streamline workflows, improve tools, and optimize our build, test and deployment processes. 


Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and Maintain Tools: Design, develop and maintain automation tools, scripts, utilities and frameworks that enhance the efficiency and productivity of engineering teams.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Enhancements: Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure teams to improve and expand our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring faster and more reliable software releases.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC principles using AWS technologies to automate provisioning of infrastructure resources.
  • Build System Optimization: Work on improving the build and dependency management system using tools like Bazel to reduce build times and increase development velocity.
  • Code Quality and Testing: Develop and implement strategies for code quality and automated testing to maintain high-quality code standards.
  • Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the development and deployment process.
  • Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation for tools and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new software engineers.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating closely with key music industry stakeholders as well as colleagues across the U.S. and Canada

About you:
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field
  • You have 2+ years of experience as a professional Software Engineer 
  • You have experience with CI/CD optimization or test automation framework development
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright and Selenium preferred)
  • Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing tools
  • You have experience in Bazel or other build tools and deploying in AWS
  • You are proficient in Python or Java
  • You thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Your bias is towards action, and you always find ways to deliver better solutions more efficiently
  • You’re an empathetic team member who works well in a team environment and communicates effectively
  • You’re excited about the music business: helping artists and songwriters grow and helping the world hear more great music


$124,000 - $159,000 a year
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
