Enterprise IT - Systems Engineer

Vestmark is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Enterprise IT team and help modernize our IT environment by improving hardware deployment, management efficiency, and user support. This role serves as the first point of contact for end-user technical support across Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, applications, and mobile devices—both in person and remotely—while adhering to SLAs and standard protocols.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, ensuring a superior IT support experience while maintaining system security, availability, and efficiency. This position also involves managing IT systems and driving IT projects to enhance overall operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in technical research and development to enable ongoing infrastructure innovation.
• Assist project teams with technical issues, system architecture, and deployment strategies.
• Responsible for installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
• Perform system builds, including desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Administer and maintain cloud-based solutions and SaaS applications.
• Manage system backups and perform data restores as required.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Manage and maintain Windows-based servers and applications.
• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint management and security solutions.
• Monitor IT support ticket queues, ensuring timely resolutions and adherence to SLAs.
• Create, maintain, and improve IT documentation, best practices, and knowledge base articles.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure compatibility with business needs.
• Maintain compliance with IT security standards and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator (Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 administration, Exchange Online, Entra (Azure AD), SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Experience managing endpoint solutions such as NinjaOne, JAMF, and Intune.
• Understanding of network concepts, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere.
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware, software, and cloud-based services.
• Experience with security tools like Mimecast, Carbon Black, Sentinel One, and Zscaler.
• Familiarity with password management solutions such as Keeper.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
