About You:

As Events Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping veritree’s presence at B2B events, trade shows, and industry gatherings—both in-person and virtual. You’ll research, identify, and qualify event opportunities for veritree to attend, ensuring alignment with our business objectives. You’ll also lead the submission and negotiation of speaker and sponsorship opportunities for veritree and its executives, helping to position our team as thought leaders in the sustainability space.

Beyond strategy, you’ll manage event logistics, execution, budgets, and performance tracking to generate leads, expand our business network, and increase brand awareness. This role requires strong project management skills, creative problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate across teams to maximize event-driven growth opportunities.

In your first 12 months, success will look like:

  • Seamless execution of key industry events and partner activations
  • Increased engagement and ROI from targeted B2B events
  • Strong internal alignment between marketing, sales, and senior leadership on event strategy

What will you be doing?

  • You will research, identify, and evaluate industry events, trade shows, and conferences to determine strategic fit for veritree.
  • You will develop and maintain a calendar of event opportunities aligned with business goals.
  • You will lead the submission of speaker proposals and sponsorship applications for veritree and its executive team.
  • You will plan and manage B2B events from concept to execution, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
  • You will handle event materials, setup, teardown, and on-site coordination when needed.
  • You will oversee event technology, registration platforms, and reporting tools.
  • You will act as the main liaison between internal teams, vendors, event organizers, and sponsorship partners.
  • You will support and work with the sales team in the lead-up to events by conducting market research, identifying high-potential prospects, and preparing outreach materials to drive engagement.
  • You will collaborate with sales, customer success, and science teams to align event strategies with business objectives, ensuring a unified approach for lead nurturing and conversion.
  • You will develop and execute event marketing campaigns across email, social, and web.
  • You will create promotional assets and ensure internal teams are equipped to maximize event impact.
  • You will track and analyze event performance, attendee engagement, lead generation, and ROI.
  • You will provide insights and recommendations to improve future event strategies.

Professional Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in event management, preferably in a B2B or tech-driven environment
  • Strong background in planning and executing both large-scale and targeted events
  • Experience researching and securing speaking engagements and sponsorships
  • Experience working with event management tools, CRM platforms, and digital marketing tactics

A typical hiring range for this position is CAD $75,000 - $90,000 per year with the final salary offer based on your qualifications, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
