Its product line includes motors, linear drives, digital drives, custom assemblies, and products to fit unique applications and ground-up system design and manufacturing solutions.  We design, build and support control and power management systems for the most demanding defense, semiconductor, industrial automation, and medical applications.

Job Summary

Under direct supervision of the VP of Human Resources, this position will directly contribute to Trust Automation’s success by specializing in recruitment and event planning for the organization. The HR Specialist role will plan, organize, and conduct professional and technical functions related to recruitment and selection of candidates. The role will also be responsible for implementing strategies to increase employee engagement events, coordinate programs and services which engage employees, while also focusing on employee wellness programs

Success in this position will be achieved through communication, organization, and the ability to drive projects and impart an excellent company culture.

Duties and Responsibilities

Hiring/Onboarding

Recruiting duties and responsibilities can be completed with the assistance of the HR Assistant.

  • Executes recruiting efforts including, but not limited to entering requisitions in the system, candidate searches, job fairs, community functions, testing, interviewing, preparing offer packages, pre-employment checks, approvals, coordinate and facilitates orientation, onboarding, reporting, etc.
  • Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications/references.
  • Completes Affirmative Action Plan and other government reports as required.
  • Maintains and updates job descriptions as needed
  • Ensures every new hire has a great first-day experience.

Event Planning

Trust Automation has a long history of providing amazing employee engagement events to its employees. With the assistance of the Front Desk Receptionist and the help of the entire HR Team, duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Serves as an informational resource, providing a high level of customer service responding to daily inquiries relating to company programs, events, and policies
  • Executing and attending all events including the Trust Winter, Summer BBQ, Christmas Lunch, Halloween, Stakeholders, etc.
  • Overseeing companywide announcements regarding company events on all communication platforms.
  • Assist with the management of the Trust Café and budget.
  • Responsible for facilitating event planning, logistics, budgeting, marketing, and execution of events.
  • Coordinate catering for monthly company breakfast meetings, culture events, department lunches etc.
  • Establish relationships with all vendors by promptly answering questions and addressing inquiries
  • Creates and facilitates yearly event calendar for all culture events
  • Schedules and promotes Lunch and Learn sessions, and other monthly or quarterly events for staff.
  • Create positive change by building morale and increasing engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries.
  • Develop new and innovative ways to engage with employees including seeking and acting on their feedback to identify the most effective methods.
  • Create a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel motivated, satisfied, and emotionally invested in the company's success.
  • Participate in projects that support Trust Automation’s values and mission.
  • Perform other related administrative duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with 1 year of related experience; or 3 years of relevant experience in a Human Resources/Recruiting position.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms.
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
  • Works comfortably under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.
  • Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator or assemble/manufacture intricate items.
  • Seeing to read a variety of materials.
  • Sitting or standing for extended period of time
  • May need physical agility to lift 20 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.

Pay/Salary Information

Salary range for this position is $28.19 -$32.00 Hourly
