Titmouse may be able to provide an artistic mentorship to promising new talent interested in design or paint in animation. Mentees will be given practice assignments with professional materials and mentored by working professionals to create industry standard work for their portfolio. Mentees will not be creating any work for live productions.
Format: In-Person/Hybrid (Burbank, Hollywood, and NY)

This is an unpaid program, for academic credit from an accredited college or university only. Applicants do not need to be a full-time student.
Mentees are expected to come into the office 2 days a week, depending on the availability of the mentor. The program is a maximum of 216 hours over the course of 10 weeks.

Running from February 3rd to April 11th, 2025, in either New York or Los Angeles, this unpaid program allows aspiring artists to gain vital experience in design and paint. You won’t be working on live productions, but you’ll get hands-on assignments that utilize professional materials and techniques, allowing you to build an impressive portfolio. As a mentee, you’ll be working closely with seasoned professionals who are committed to guiding you through the artistic process every step of the way. You’re expected to come into the office at least two days a week, giving you plenty of chances to connect with mentors and fellow creatives. Over the program’s ten weeks, you will complete a maximum of 216 hours of practice art assignments that will be reviewed and critiqued by industry experts, helping you refine your skills and set you up for success in your future career. You’ll enjoy weekly panels, workshops, and even the chance to shadow production meetings to see how the magic happens behind the scenes. Whether you’re interested in design or paint, this program focuses on your growth as an artist. Please note that applicants must not currently be working full-time in the animation industry, and this program is targeted at those seeking academic credit as well.
