Part-Time Community Events Staff

The Florida Panthers are a community focused organization led by an authentic management team that served our country and now serves the South Florida community. The organization is on the rise and is experiencing success both on and off the ice. Led by General Manager Bill Zito, the Panthers are coming off their best season in franchise history, entering the 2024-2025 season as Stanley Cup Champions. Off the ice, the business is experiencing growth across all key metrics and our revenue is at an all-time high. The organization is expanding outside of Amerant Bank Arena via the renovation of the FTL War Memorial in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This state-of-the-art ice facility features two regulation-size rinks, including a new team practice rink with stadium seating, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. The future is bright, and we are very proud of what we are building in South Florida.

Job Summary:

The Part Time Community Events Staff consists of an energetic group who are enthusiastic about promoting the Florida Panthers Hockey Club within the tri-county area. Members must be upbeat, outgoing individuals with the ability to interact with all types of people at a variety of events, community engagements, and all Florida Panthers home games.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the set-up, activation, and teardown of all Florida Panthers activations on the Publix Plaza at all home games.
Work off-site events within the tri-county community (street hockey/school programs, sports tournaments, community events, concerts, non-profit outreaches, sponsor appearances, etc.) to promote the Florida Panthers and Amerant Bank Arena on a grassroots level.
Responsible for packing and driving Florida Panthers “promotional vehicles” to and from community appearances.
Creating a positive experience while engaging with fans to promote the Florida Panthers brand and the sport of hockey in South Florida.
Assist in the promotion of Amateur Hockey programs such as Learn to Play and Panthers Kids Club.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL
$15.00/hour – part-time/year-round position
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Possess a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a good driving record

Qualifications:

Minimum 18 years of age
Possess a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and a good driving record
Previous Marketing/promotional experience preferred; previous experience working for a college or professional sports team a plus
Fun, energetic and outgoing personality
Ability to be a team player
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
$15.00/hour – part-time/ year-round position

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt/ pert-time position. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
