A Parking Compliance Technician job is available in the Transportation and Public Works department, with the City of Fort Worth. The Parking Compliance Technician plays a key role in making sure that the City of Fort Worth Parking Ordinance is upheld. The Parking Compliance Technician is an ambassador of the City and a source of information to the citizens and visitors of Fort Worth. The Parking Compliance Technician will always be ready to help address issues of concern.
Please note that Parking Compliance Technicians are not sworn police officers and do not have authority to make arrests. This position may require weekend and holiday shifts, possibly including Thanksgiving and Christmas. The position may require rotating shift assignments to include Sunday through Saturday 6am – 11pm.
The Parking Compliance Technician position works primarily outdoors. At least 90% of the job functions are performed outdoors. The Parking Compliance Technician will walk and ride a bicycle daily to perform the job functions.

Physical Demands
Medium Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
An induvial applying for this role must understand that the position requires the Parking Compliance Technician to walk and/or ride a bike for 7-9 hours per day (depending on their shift). The Parking Compliance Technician works almost exclusively outside.
