About the Role

TAAF believes in the power of connecting leaders and luminaries across industries to build solutions. The Events Associate is instrumental in working alongside the Partnerships Team to flawlessly execute TAAF hosted and sponsored events that build upon our mission. The ideal candidate will have experience in crafting in-person and virtual experiences that are unique, engaging, and authentic. They should have project management and operational planning experience. They will also believe in working strategically with transparency and accountability, embrace a culture of learning, work respectfully with compassion, kindness and gratitude, and seek to be inclusive and collaborative in decision making. Most importantly, the candidate is passionate about our mission and recognizes and understands the challenges and opportunities in serving our community through the power of convening.

Responsibilities

• Support in creating, planning, and executing in-person and virtual events in collaboration with staff, consultants, and external vendors.
• Scout venues and conduct site visits as needed.
• Oversee vendor management including scopes of work and timelines. 
• Manage event budgets, oversee vendor payments, and post-event budget reconciliation. 
• Manage audience databases and assist in guest list curation.
• Research speakers and programmatic topics relevant to the event. 
• Provide administrative and operational support such as preparing briefing documents, managing guest registration, and other tasks as needed.
• Coordinate and communicate across internal and external stakeholder groups, including TAAF staff and consultants, partners, and attendees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Undergraduate degree in a related field of study or the equivalent of education and relevant experience.
• Previous experience supporting program and/or event coordination and execution.

Working Hours

• Requires weekend, off-hours, or evening work. Some travel required.

Location

• This role is hybrid and based in the San Francisco Bay area. Occasional travel required.

• Anticipated salary for this position is $75,000
