Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to lead their Data Engineering practice and modernize their data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the data platform, tooling, and architecture to meet analytical and product needs
• Lead the delivery of a v2 data architecture via a data lakehouse
• Build stream and batch data ingestion pipelines to process source data

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Data Engineer working on the modern data stack
• 5+ years of experience writing production-grade Python code
• Familiarity with the JVM and at least one JVM language (Java/Scala/Kotlin)
• Experience with modern datalakes using open table formats like Iceberg, Hudi, or Delta Lake
• Strong cloud architecture skills in the AWS ecosystem
