Configuration Management Specialist

Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):

Spry Methods is on the search for an Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in Washington, D.C.


What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
  • Supporting the processing, tracking, and monitoring of Change Requests and Configuration Change requests submitted by the customer
  • Following control board processes for software and hardware approval processing
  • Supporting the Stage Gate Reviews of the SDLC process, as well as to the various customer Control Boards
  • Supporting SDLC meetings, providing required review items, and updating the data within the customer-approved tools that support those processes
  • Gathering and auditing artifacts, as well as migrating and monitoring the necessary changes as related to GOTS development
  • Submitting and archiving approved artifacts to the appropriate baseline and notifying the appropriate parties of their availability
  • Providing patch management process support to ensure software patches being pushed from the corporate level are completed
  • Supporting the tracking and publishing of relevant metrics
  • Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for the CM process
  • Service Now, IBM CLM, and Microsoft SharePoint experience


What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
  • 3 years or more of relevant Configuration Management work experience.
  • 2 years or more of experience with JIRA, Gitlab, and Nexus tools. 
  • Experience working in a technical environment interfacing with all engineering disciplines and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Team player and be able to multi-task to finish the projects on time
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET level security clearance is required.
