About The Role

As the Director, Technology & Enablement, you will lead Spacetalk’s technology and engineering strategy, driving innovation and operational excellence in alignment with our mission to become a leader in family safety technology powered by predictive analytics.

Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee all aspects of technology, engineering, and product delivery, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of high-quality solutions.

In this pivotal role, you will champion agile methodologies, establish key performance dashboards, and drive the adoption of emerging technologies like AI and ML to create transformative products. You will play a critical role in aligning our technology roadmap with business objectives, ensuring Spacetalk is positioned for scalable, sustainable growth in global markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and execute Spacetalk’s technology strategy, supporting the transition to a SaaS-first business model.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables across engineering and technology team, with a focus on excellence in execution and customer outcomes.
  • Implement and champion best agile practices, fostering a collaborative and efficient product development environment.
  • Collaborate with product team to align technology initiatives with user needs and business objectives.
  • Design and implement dashboards over to track key metrics, ensuring transparency, accountability, and actionable insights.
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies such as AI and ML to enhance product offerings and create predictive analytics capabilities.
  • Oversee the engineering organisation, ensuring scalability, innovation, and operational excellence. Directly manage and mentor the Software Engineering Manager and any third-party partners.
  • Drive cloud architecture optimisation while overseeing IT operations, including cloud platform management (AWS, Azure), DevOps processes, and vendor management, ensuring adherence to ISO and other industry standards for data security and scalability.
  • Establish and manage technology budgets, team resources, and timelines to align with strategic goals.

You are a strategic technology leader with a proven track record of driving innovation and operational excellence in fast-paced, evolving environments. With deep expertise in cloud architecture, IT operations, data security, and compliance frameworks like ISO, you excel at aligning technology strategies with business goals. You thrive in leadership roles, guiding cross-functional teams and managing third-party vendors or outsourced providers to deliver impactful solutions.

  • 10+ years in technology leadership roles, including experience in SaaS businesses, IoT, or data-driven ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to implement agile methodologies and foster alignment between engineering and product teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI, ML, and predictive analytics technologies, with a passion for integrating emerging technologies into innovative products.
  • Strong ability to design and deploy dashboards for tracking performance metrics and providing actionable insights.
