Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret complex medical documentation and assign accurate codes for procedures and diagnoses
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and participate in departmental training initiatives
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • Associate's degree in health information technology or related field, or 5 years of coding experience; coding certification required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of coding experience with an Associate's degree and familiarity with coding software
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve coding issues
  • Required coding credentials include RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, or CPC-A
