Abstract demographic and coding information into the EMR and assign correct DRG/APC
Resolve coding edits and assist with additional coding responsibilities and mentoring new coders
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience
CCS, RHIA, or RHIT certification preferred upon hire
Demonstrated accuracy in coding and DRG assignment
Experience working in a remote environment
