Role: Email & Retention Marketing Manager (E-Commerce)
Function: Email and SMS Marketing | Klaviyo Campaigns & Flows | Retention Growth Strategy
Responsibility: Drive customer retention and revenue growth through email and SMS marketing for e-commerce brands.
Reports to: Head of CRM
Location: Hybrid/Flexible – Leeds Head Office & Remote Options
Compensation: £24,000–£35,000 + 26 Days Paid Holiday

As an Email & Retention Marketing Manager, you’ll be at the core of this growth, executing high-impact Email and SMS marketing strategies through Klaviyo, driving serious results for our clients — all while embodying our values of:

- Retention Strategy: Own and develop email and SMS retention strategies to drive customer loyalty, LTV, and profitability for e-commerce brands.
- Klaviyo Campaign Execution: Build, automate, and optimise email and SMS campaigns, flows, and customer journeys directly in Klaviyo.
- Performance Optimisation: Leverage Klaviyo data and reporting, Shopify insights, and Triple Whale analytics to refine campaigns and drive measurable revenue growth.
- Client Communication: Manage and build strong relationships with a portfolio of e-commerce clients, communicating regularly through Slack, Google Meet, and reports.
- Deliverability & Best Practices: Ensure all campaigns meet best practices for deliverability, compliance, and performance.
- Innovation & Upskilling: Stay ahead of the curve on Klaviyo features, e-commerce retention trends, and new tools. Bring new ideas and cutting-edge strategies to the team weekly.
- Specialist Development: Develop deeper expertise in a specialist area like SMS growth, deliverability, segmentation, or automation.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with the Head of CRM to align on client strategies and outcomes. Help mentor junior team members through training and knowledge-sharing.
What Success Looks Like
6 Months:
- You're consistently improving client retention metrics (repeat rate, LTV, customer engagement).
- You've launched impactful new flows and campaigns across your client portfolio.
- You're seen as a go-to Klaviyo expert inside the team.
- The Head of CRM says: “We couldn't have scaled this fast without them.”
12 Months:
- You’re handling whale-size brands, known for delivering outstanding retention results.
- You’ve rolled out new retention tactics or technology (e.g., SMS strategy, hyper-segmentation) that the whole agency adopts.
- Promotion to Senior Email & Retention Marketing Manager firmly within reach.
24 Months:
- You’ve built a personal brand in the e-commerce retention world.
- You've introduced game-changing processes or Klaviyo innovations.
- You’ve helped mentor and grow the entire CRM department.
Requirements

Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Klaviyo for e-commerce email marketing.
- Proven results in driving revenue through email flows, campaigns, and SMS.
- Familiarity with Shopify, Attentive, and Triple Whale.
- Agency experience preferred, or in-house experience with a 7–8 figure DTC e-commerce brand.
- Strong analytical skills — able to read the numbers and act on them fast.
