Senior Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor, Senior Associate who will perform coding reviews of medical records to ensure accurate coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of medical record documentation to verify accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes
• Meet productivity and quality performance standards set by management
• Assist in training new Coding Auditors and maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 1+ years of active professional credentials through AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, CCS, COC, RHIA, RHIT)
• 3+ years of coding experience for inpatient or outpatient claims
• Proficiency in medical record auditing and various coding methodologies (ICD-10 CM, ICD-10-PCS, APC, ASC, HCPCS, CPT)
• Thorough understanding of APR-DRG, AP-DRG, and MS-DRG systems
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools
