Senior Gameplay Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Gameplay Systems Engineer on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems using Flecs ECS and StateTree in Unreal Engine 5
  • Refactor and stabilize existing MVP systems, resolving crashes and performance issues
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure systems are usable and intuitive
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in gameplay or systems engineering roles on Unreal projects
  • Deep familiarity with Flecs ECS or equivalent data-oriented frameworks
  • Strong working knowledge of StateTree and gameplay state machines
  • Proficiency in C++, particularly within Unreal Engine's gameplay architecture
  • Ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving team
