Rural Innovation Strategies, Inc. (RISI) is seeking a creative and organized Marketing Communications Coordinator to support our marketing and communications efforts. This is a part-time, contract position for up to, but not exceeding, 20 hours per week for 12 weeks.
About the Role
As part of the in-house Marketing & Communications team, this role will execute on marketing strategies that increase awareness of Rural Innovation Strategies, Inc. (RISI) and its collaborating organization, the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI). The position is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented marketing professional who can support digital marketing efforts, content creation and design, and brand awareness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Optimization: Update the RISI and CORI website content, including posting blogs, editing pages, and improving SEO.
- Event Promotion: Support promotional and planning activities for two national events, including outreach and materials development
- Content Creation & Storytelling: Collaborate with the MarComms and Project teams to write blog posts and impact stories that drive lead gen and increase engagement
- Design Support: Create one-pagers, slides, and digital assets to support marketing and communications initiatives.
- Marketing Systems Management: Organize and maintain internal marketing and communications systems (Google Drive, Monday.com, Constant Contact CRM).
Qualifications & Skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the following tools: WordPress, Adobe Suite, Constant Contact, Canva, Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in writing marketing and communications materials (blogs, marketing materials, etc.).
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
