We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We’re looking for a Paid Social Specialist to join our growing Performance Marketing team. Reporting to the Performance Marketing Lead and supporting the Performance Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in executing and optimising campaigns across TikTok, with opportunities to expand into Meta and other platforms like as you grow and develop.

This is a hands-on executional role where you’ll be responsible for activating campaigns, making manual bid changes, optimising performance, and reporting on key metrics. You’ll also conduct competitor research to help inform our strategy and audience expansion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the execution and optimisation of paid social campaigns.
  • Managing campaign activation, bid adjustments, budget pacing, and audience testing.
  • Assisting in scaling TikTok as a key growth channel while gaining exposure to Meta and other platforms.
  • Conducting competitor research and creative analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitoring performance metrics such as CAC, ROAS, and subscriber growth.
  • Providing regular reports and insights to the Performance Marketing Lead & Manager.
  • Staying up to date with platform changes, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborating with the creative team to brief and test new ad iterations.

We’re looking for someone who…

  • Is passionate about paid social and digital marketing, particularly TikTok ads.
  • Is eager to develop expertise in Meta and explore additional platforms.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment with ambitious growth targets.
  • Has strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Loves keeping up with the latest trends, creatives, and ad formats in social media.
  • Works well collaboratively but is also comfortable taking ownership of tasks.

What experience we’re looking for

  • 1-3 years of experience in paid social advertising, ideally in TikTok Ads and Meta.
  • Understanding of manual bidding, audience targeting, and ad performance metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with TikTok Ads Manager (Meta Ads Manager is a plus).
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, creative performance analysis, and platform best practices.
  • Strong interest in scaling subscription-based or app-driven performance marketing.
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Google Sheets, or Excel) is beneficial.

  • You’re ideally London based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week), but we’ll be open to remote for exceptional people.

We offer a salary of £35,000-£50,000 (depending on experience), plus substantial equity in the form of Runna stock options.

Application process

Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:

  1. Kick off!
  2. Introductory call with Laura, Performance Marketing Lead (25 minutes video call)
  3. Task with Laura and Miranda, Head of Growth (50 minutes video call)
  4. Office visit (in-person chat with founder(s) and the rest of the team)
