About Replate: Replate is a mission-driven organization dedicated to reducing food waste and combating food insecurity by redistributing surplus food to communities in need. We connect businesses with excess food to nonprofits, ensuring that good food doesn't go to waste and instead supports those who need it most.


Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead the transformation of Replate's revenue-generating organization. We earn revenue by charging businesses fees for our food rescue and impact tracking services. This role is critical in driving strategic growth by building and scaling Replate’s revenue engine, encompassing sales, business development, partnerships, and customer experience. You will be responsible for revamping and creating a cohesive revenue strategy aiming to double earned revenue and strengthen Replate's financial sustainability within your first year.


This role requires occasional travel, and while we welcome remote applicants, we prefer candidates based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York for ease of access to key partners and events.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-channel revenue strategy that includes sales, partnerships, and other revenue streams (such as technology licensing and source reduction solutions). Create scalable, repeatable processes for revenue generation and build new revenue channels aligned with Replate's mission. Set ambitious revenue targets and create actionable plans to achieve them. Analyze market trends to identify new growth opportunities. Collaborate with the Leadership team to maximize synergy across departments.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a sales team of 1 and potentially hire a high-performing team within the next 2 years. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture. Implement training opportunities to enhance the team's skills and effectiveness.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize revenue.
  • Revenue Growth: Implement initiatives to double earned revenue in the first year. Monitor sales metrics and adjust strategies as necessary. Report on sales performance to the executive team. Optimize the customer lifecycle to increase Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and drive profitability.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. Participate in executive meetings to contribute to organizational strategy.
  • Representation: Serve as Replate's public face at industry events, conferences, and meetings. Advocate for Replate's mission and values in all interactions. Occasionally travel for meetings and/or gatherings.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of doubling revenue or achieving significant sales growth.
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Passion for social impact, sustainability, and Replate's mission.


$100,000 - $130,000 a year
