Remote Outpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Facility Outpatient Auditor, Full-Time & Part-Time (Flexible Schedule).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform internal audits on facility outpatient coding records to ensure accuracy and integrity
• Review codes assigned for complex services such as outpatient surgery, ED, cath lab, IR, and injections/infusions
• Ensure coding compliance with CMS, commercial payer guidelines, and official coding rules

Required Qualifications:

• Required Credentials: CCS, RHIT, or COC (AHIMA or AAPC certified)
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in facility outpatient coding and auditing
• Strong knowledge of EHR/EMR systems; EPIC and Optum Encoder experience preferred
• Proficient in CMS guidelines, outpatient billing regulations, and documentation standards
• Availability: Full-time preferred, but part-time considered (20+ hours/week)
