Job Summary

A company is looking for a Counsel to join their Legal team and support the Payroll & Team Management business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and advise cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on payroll and employee-related products
• Provide practical legal advice on product compliance, consumer protection, privacy, and various contracts
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and a smooth user experience

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school; active state bar membership
• 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in-house with a payroll or HR service provider
• Deep expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer protection laws
• Proven experience advising product teams and managing complex customer negotiations
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws, particularly in payroll and wage regulations
