Job Summary

A company is looking for a Variant Assessment Scientist I: Rare Disease (REMOTE-US).

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze diagnostic molecular genetic test results and provide clinical interpretations
  • Write research articles and participate in updating variant classification guidelines
  • Manage variant pre-classification workflow and assist in developing gene-specific tools
Required Qualifications
  • PhD and/or MD in molecular genetics, human genetics, molecular pathology, or related field; MS with exceptional expertise also considered
  • Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Preferred experience in rare diseases and variant assessment
  • PhD degree preferred
