Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio recordings into written documents, ensuring clarity and adherence to the Chicago Manual Style. This role requires strong English language skills, attention to detail, and the ability to proofread and edit transcripts for accuracy.
Duties
• Transcribe audio recordings into clear, coherent written documents.
• Edit and proofread transcripts to ensure they meet quality standards and adhere to the DOJ OIG guidelines.
• Translate spoken content into written form while maintaining the original context and meaning.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of transcription projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information contained in audio recordings.
Qualifications
• Must have an be eligiable to receive a Clearance
• Must have 2 years or more of experience.
• Must have knowledge of DOJ OIG specific instructions.
• Experience with GearPlayer 4 Transcription and or USB Foot Pedal is preferred.
• Strong understanding of transcription techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with the Chicago Manual Style is preferred.
• Ability to proofread and edit documents for grammatical accuracy and clarity.
• Experience in transcribing various types of content is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
