About the position
As a Staff member in our Tax service line at HCVT, you will play a crucial role in preparing federal and multi-state income tax returns for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. Your responsibilities will extend to preparing and responding to correspondences from taxing authorities, identifying accounting and income tax issues, and proposing effective strategies to resolve them. You will also be expected to perform tax technical research as needed and conduct self-reviews of your work to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. In this position, you will learn and effectively utilize the firm’s tax software, which will aid in your continual learning and knowledge sharing, ultimately enhancing the quality of service provided to our clients. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with your team and communicate job status with all levels of the engagement team. Completing assigned projects within engagement timelines and budget guidelines is essential, as is developing strong relationships with firm professionals at all levels. Participation in firm trainings, recruiting events, and various firm activities will also be part of your role, allowing you to grow both technically and in soft skills. Responsibilities

Requirements
• On track to completing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a master’s degree in accounting between December 2024 – June 2025.

• Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0.
,
• Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or another accounting campus organization.
,
• Strong technical aptitude and evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills.
,
• Exhibit leadership skills that demonstrate strong judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Able to learn in a fast-paced environment and receptive to feedback and coaching.
