Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Vice President - General Patent Counsel - AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IP strategies in collaboration with R&D teams, data scientists, and AI specialists
• Draft and prosecute patent applications related to AI-facilitated pharmaceutical innovations
• Advise on exclusivity, freedom to operate, and AI-specific risks while contributing to departmental strategy

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific field
• Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. institution
• Four years of post-JD experience as a practicing attorney
• Two or more years of post-JD experience as a patent attorney
• Currently admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and licensed to represent clients before the USPTO
