AI-Driven Content Innovation
• Oversee the creation, curation, and maintenance of all business rules and code sets (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, etc.) related to coding compliance, billing requirements, and other payer policies/regulations
• Integrate AI/ML technologies to streamline policy parsing, rule suggestion, edit generation, and coding trend analysis.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to identify opportunities to use large language models (LLMs), classification algorithms, or predictive logic to accelerate and improve content development.
• Evaluate external AI tools and frameworks that can support semi-automated content generation and validation.

Leadership & Team Management
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of coders and researchers in developing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality content.
• Provide mentorship, strategic direction, and structure for operational excellence.
• Build a culture of clinical rigor, technical innovation, and continuous learning.

• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration within the team.

Commercial Strategy & Monetization
• Explore external monetization strategies including content licensing, white-labeled logic libraries, and strategic data partnerships.
• Collaborate with business development and marketing to articulate the value of Aptarro’s content IP in commercial offerings.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, Nursing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare content types (e.g., coding rules, payer policies, clinical logic), but viewed through a product and data lens.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS, or equivalent preferred.
• 7–10+ years of experience in coding operations, clinical content strategy, RCM technology, or healthcare data platforms.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or product-focused role with exposure to AI, data products, or SaaS tools.
• Knowledge of payer guidelines, clinical coding systems (CPT, ICD, HCPCS), and medical necessity policy review.
• Demonstrated experience working with AI/ML, automation, or LLM is a strong plus.

Preferred Attributes
• Visionary thinker with a pragmatic execution style.
• Deep curiosity around AI and how it can improve human decision-making.
• Highly collaborative, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for healthcare innovation.
• Skilled at navigating fluid environments, identifying priorities, and creating focused roadmaps.
