Specialty Authorization Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Specialty Authorization Coordinator - Remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all drug and procedural benefits are obtained prior to patient treatment
  • Assess and review patient treatment plans to obtain pre-certification and location approval
  • Maintain positive relationships with clinical departments and assist with drug dose calculations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade school or college graduate in healthcare or CHAA certification required within 12 months of hire
  • Two years of healthcare experience required
  • Two years of health insurance authorizations, verification, or registration/billing experience required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 required
