Small Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Small Commercial Underwriter/Senior Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strong, collaborative relationships with agents and wholesalers to support business growth
• Implement sales and marketing strategies to promote Workers' Compensation and BOP policies
• Evaluate and underwrite small commercial accounts while monitoring performance and providing customer support

Required Qualifications

• Experience underwriting small business accounts is strongly preferred
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline
• 1 to 5 years of underwriting experience
• Beginning coursework toward certification in the area of expertise preferred
• Appropriate certifications could include Associate in Underwriting (AU) or Chartered Property Casualty
