Position: Shipping Lead + Customer Service Assistant
We are seeking a Shipping Lead + Customer Service Assistant to manage inventory, shipping/receiving, facilities, and safety compliance—while providing top-tier customer support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Inventory
• Create/manage shipping labels
• Coordinate large/special orders
• Monitor stock levels & forecast demand
• Handle vendor returns & reimbursements
• Conduct inventory counts & manage restocking
• Receive/inspect merchandise for accuracy/damage
• Track/process orders (incoming & outgoing)
• Maintain out-of-stock records and pricing updates
• Support promotions & ensure OSHA compliance
• Pack/kit boxes; perform basic facilities tasks
Customer Service
• Assist with product selection, usage & info
• Process purchases and returns
• Provide updates on specials & stock availability
• Respond to out-of-stock inquiries and suggest alternatives
• Escalate issues as needed
• Accurately input customer data
• Support Client Service Manager in customer satisfaction
Operational Support
• Update website items and pricing
• Follow directions from Client Service Manager & Ops Director
• Attend team meetings and trainings
• Maintain awareness of workflows and priorities
Qualifications
Required:
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer experience (including MS Office and shipping software)
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Flexible availability
Preferred:
• Stockroom/warehouse experience
• Retail/gift industry background
• Customer service experience
• Some college or trade coursework
