Senior Inpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Medical Coder, National Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient services in accordance with coding guidelines
• Abstract data during chart reviews and provide documentation feedback to providers
• Maintain coding knowledge and participate in departmental meetings and educational events

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher
• Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC
• 3+ years of acute care inpatient medical coding experience
• 3+ years of ICD-10 (CM & PCS) and DRG coding experience
