Job description: SEASONAL NET PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN NEEDED

Position Summary: PNP is looking for a reliable, hardworking craftsperson to assist in the manufacturing of netting products. PNP’s netting products are used in a variety of applications including, but not limited to fish barrier and guidance, security, game bird management, sports, and recreation. Our ideal candidate is initiative-taking, has a positive attitude, and be able to work independently or with a team. PNP will provide on the job training. PNP will also provide an opportunity to obtain industry standard certifications for select candidates

Essential Duties:
• Various net fabrication tasks including cutting, lacing, web stretching, knot tying, etc., using a variety of materials such as pre-woven netting, rope, twine, floats, and hardware
• Utilizing a variety of hand tools, net needles and fids, scissors, knives, and other cutting tools
• Fabricate and assemble products per directions, drawings, and customer specifications
• Follows quality control procedures to ensure fabricated products meet required standards
• Locate and pull required materials from inventory, maintains accurate records of materials used
• Assists with organizing materials and tools and preparing tools and materials for upcoming projects
• Bundle and package nets, rope or other materials for storage and shipping
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products
• Maintain clean work area and equipment; and always follow Health Safety and Environmental procedures
• Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with Pacific Netting Products company policies and procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
• Average or better eye/hand coordination
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Working knowledge of tools used in cutting and measuring
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation, maintenance and procedures manuals
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
• Prior fabrication experience a plus
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Dependable and reliable: Shows up every day on time, completes work in timely manner
• Available: Willing to work extended hours and overtime as needed to complete the work
• Responsible: Takes responsibility for own actions, keeps commitments, and completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6-8 hours a day); walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing this job the individual is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; and occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The work environment exposes individual to moving equipment and machines.

Job Types: Seasonal Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour DOE

Benefits:

Weekly day range:
• Monday to Friday – 6:30am – 3:00pm
• Occasional weekend and OT
