Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Medical Coder - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Code all types of cases using ICD-10-CM, PCS, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
• Assist with training and mentoring new coding staff and coordinate coding meetings with the Clinical Documentation Improvement team
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, federal and state regulations, and facility requirements

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree in Health Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
• Preferred Bachelor's degree
• Five (5) years of acute care inpatient and/or outpatient hospital coding experience
• Certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC; dual credentials preferred
• Ability to pass a coding exam before hiring
