Position Summary:
The Insurance Biller will be responsible for submitting claims to insurance providers, following up on unpaid claims, and ensuring that payments are accurately recorded and posted in QuickBooks. This role is critical to ensuring timely reimbursement and maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately prepare and submit insurance claims for inpatient drug and alcohol treatment services.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure prompt payment.
• Record insurance payments, patient payments, and adjustments.
• Post all payments and deposits into QuickBooks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile posted payments against remittance advice and bank deposits.
• Collaborate with utilization review staff to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date patient billing records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Provide regular billing and collections reports to management.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in behavioral health or addiction treatment.
• Proficiency with insurance claim submission, billing codes (ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS), and EOB interpretation.
• Experience using QuickBooks for posting and reconciling payments is preferred.
• Familiarity with major payers including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance plans.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
