Job Summary

A company is looking for a POS Charge Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns appropriate billing codes for various medical records and evaluates documentation for accuracy
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in clinical documentation and collaborates with Revenue Integrity staff
• Works independently and collaboratively with other staff to achieve departmental goals and maintain consistency in practices

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
• Two or more years of related work experience in a clinical, medical office, or acute care unit
• Knowledgeable in medical terminology and regulatory agency requirements for coding and charging
• Proficient in using common office software, coding and billing software, and electronic medical records systems
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
