For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with up to 3 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of RN work experience!
• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
• Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment
The Access Center nurse supports Maine Medical Partners’ primary care outpatient practices by being the “first call resolution” to patient inquiries. The Registered Nurse works independently, but is also a member of an RN triage team. The candidate we’re seeking has strong triage skills and is comfortable responding to calls according to clinical assessment protocols.
This is a 32-hour position offering a day-shift schedule during the Monday-Friday work week. The availability to train on site is required. Once fully trained this is a work from home position.
Position Summary
Position serves as the primary point of contact for patients calling with clinical matters, and practices nursing via the telephone using the nursing process and physician approved protocols.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Completion of RN degree from accredited school of nursing.
License/Certifications: Active unencumbered State of Maine RN license or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification.
Experience: Minimum two years’ experience working in a medical facility.
Knowledge of telephone-based clinical assessment techniques.
Knowledge of medical practice telephone triage protocols.
Skill in making decisions and responding quickly and calmly.
Proficient computer skills with skill in using electronic medical records.
Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
Excellent professional judgment and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
