Job Summary

A company is looking for a Product Counsel for its Payroll & HR Suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on payroll and employee-related products
• Provide legal guidance on product compliance, privacy, and various contracts
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance for the Payroll & Team Management platform

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active state bar membership
• 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house with a payroll or HR service provider
• Expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer protection laws
• Experience advising product teams and negotiating complex agreements
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and marketing law compliance
