Postgres Networking Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an engineer to own the networking layer of their Postgres platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain connection pooling infrastructure using tools like PgBouncer and Supavisor
• Build intelligent query routing systems that support multi-tenancy and workload isolation
• Collaborate with core Postgres and observability teams to reduce latency and increase system resilience

Required Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of Postgres connection behavior and network protocols
• Experience with observability tooling
• Proficiency in query shaping and routing logic
• Ability to prototype new patterns for query classification and load shedding
• Experience working in a remote and collaborative environment
