Interconnection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Interconnection Engineer to assist in the interconnection process of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building plant-specific power flow models for project interconnection
• Ensure compliance for reactive power requirements and develop supporting power flow models
• Participate in technical discussions with utilities/ISOs for interconnection studies

Required Qualifications

• 3 or more years' experience in a similar role
• Technical background in transmission systems planning or generator interconnection processes
• Knowledge of transmission systems and long-term transmission plans in the US
• Understanding of Open Access Transmission Tariffs and Generator Interconnection Procedures
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
