Outpatient Coding Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Compliance Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist coders and documentation management staff with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and discussing code assignment
• Review medical records for patterns of coding errors and opportunities for education
• Serve as a technical expert for department managers, staff, and external customers regarding coding standards and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Health Information Management program and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience
• 6+ years of medical coding experience
• Currently certified as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS by AHIMA
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
