Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Per Diem Coder, Ortho.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and translate information into coding for insurance claims
• Provide technical guidance to medical staff on coding issues and ensure compliance with documentation standards
• Conduct peer reviews and audits of clinical documentation to validate coding accuracy and resolve discrepancies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma required; coursework in anatomy and physiology and medical terminology preferred
• Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA required (e.g., CPC, COC, CCS)
• 2 years of equivalent work experience required
• Minimum of 5 years of coding experience required
• Advanced proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers for coding professional fee services
