Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter responsible for underwriting first and second mortgages while ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite mortgage loan files in compliance with guidelines and policies
• Evaluate financial documents to determine loan eligibility and repayment capacity
• Monitor the mortgage pipeline and support management with audit and reporting tasks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field preferred
• Minimum of seven years of mortgage underwriting experience required
• Active NMLS license with completion of required education and training
• Detailed knowledge of secondary market guidelines and regulatory issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related loan origination systems
