Mainframe DB2 Support Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe / DB2 Support Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor IT infrastructure and applications, ensuring efficiency and reliability
• Create and manage job schedules across various environments, performing necessary job restarts and corrections
• Provide technical assistance and on-call support, collaborating with IT teams to resolve issues

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe DB2 Support
• Proficiency in DB2, CICS, JCL, and z/OS
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience with job scheduling and monitoring tools
• Ability to work overnight shifts (4 nights per week, 10-hour shifts)
