We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Law Enforcement Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transcribing law enforcement-related audio recordings, including interviews, interrogations, patrol reports, and other official recordings. This role requires a strong command of English, excellent grammar and punctuation skills, and the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards. Flexible hours. Contractor (1099) position.
• *Role and Responsibilities:**
• -Accurately transcribe law enforcement audio and video recordings, including but not limited to, suspect interviews, witness statements, 911 calls, and officer narratives.
• – Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• – Collaborate with a team of transcribers.
• – Ensure consistency in terminology, format, and style.
• – Meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• – Must meet a minimum monthly output of 10 audio hours.
• *Qualifications:**
• -Previous editing or transcription experience preferred, especially in a law enforcement setting.
• – Exceptional attention to detail.
• – Strong command of the English language and grammar.
• – Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• – Familiarity with law enforcement terminology is a plus.
• -Must have a foot pedal.
